Join us in rekindling the timeless tradition of community storytelling as we celebrate the winners of our Winter Hauntings contest.

All Winter Hauntings ticket sale proceeds will go to the Title Wave bookmobile featured in Episode 2 of EPIC Carteret “How to Grow a Community of Learners with Amanda McCall.”

Thursday, January 11, 2024, 6pm – 8pm at the Historic Morehead City Train Depot

Festive Spirits: Gather with your artsy-fartsy friends and indulge in locally-made treats and fine wine before the stories begin.
Dramatic Storytelling: Talented local actors will bring to life the spine-tingling stories of our Winter Hauntings ghost story contest finalists for an immersive experience.
Local Talent: Charismatic playwright Doug Miron will be on hand to share a historic tale of a ship bearing damned souls. Hauntingly harmonious duo Chick ‘N’ Biscuit will perform original murder ballads, and beloved North Carolina poet Malaika King Albrecht will read from her collection “A Catalog of Ghosts” for a memorable, magical, musical evening.
Tales To Go: Take home a collection of locally inspired ghost stories to read over and over again in a professionally designed souvenir program.
